You're absolutely right. Maybe I should find a primer about MPEG-3 and
MPEG-4 data compression on the Web and put it in here. :)
Jason, being a ham radio operator, should be aware that the same thing
occurs when you compress your voice to go out over the air, hence that's
why they have digital signal processors to fill in the gaps you speak of.
