subject: Shotgun Technology?

I thought Shotgun Technology used two 56k Modems and it had a smart
feature to where if one modem got call waiting beep it would hang-up and
keep the conection live on the other modem and as soon as you where done
with you phone call (you could still be surfing with the other modem at
the same time) and you hung up, the other modem would re-connect itself?

-> I'm sure the tech folks will give you a more detailed explanation, but
-> in a nutshell, shotgun technology uses one modem but two phone lines.
-> In essence, doubling the speed by sending twice the data. You would
-> indeed need a similar modem at the other end to utilize this feature
