What browser? What TCP/IP stack? What other Internet software do you have
installed? Does your modem work with non-Internet uses -- like calling a
BBS or AOL or JUNO.COM?

Truthfully, though, Marc, I'd be wiling to bet this is quite likely a
WINDOWS issue and not a TCP/IP issue -- you might get better (and faster)
help from the WINDOWS echo -- though I'll certainly be happy to help you
here in whatever way I can.
