I hope you're not getting Rampart confused with Rampage. I think Rampage was 
the game where you controlled one of 3 monsters (a King Kong-like ape, a 
Godzilla-like giant lizard, and some other monster, maybe it was a huge 
alien), while I think Rampart was a medieval war strategy game where you had 
to defend your own castle while trying to destroy your opponent's castle.
