Hello Jonathan !
JF> There are those "Web boxes" around here, but I don't think there are
JF> any Netstations. Ever hear of WebTV?
Yes, I read T3 [tomorrows technology today] magazine and it has all the
latest hi-fi, video, TV, and loadsa other new hi-tech stuff too. :)
JF> Anyhow, I see your point. They're too general-purposed to satisfy
JF> everyone except those people who can't afford anything better - and
JF> even those people would probably be better off with something like a
JF> Saturn with a NetLink!
Or one of those Game.COM thingies, it can do Internet. For much cheapness.
JF> Sony as a whole, I guess. I haven't experienced enough of
JF> SquareSoft's work to know what their music is generally like.
Me not heard much PSX stuff actually, the demo machines don't usually havethe
volume up very much. :-/
JF> I've noticed that the Wipeout XL music CD itself is actually a bit
JF> expensive here too, compared to more mainstream releases. Can't
JF> blame them, though; it's got some of the better electronica out
JF> there. A PSX would be nice for Wipeout XL (especially if you're
JF> really strapped for cash), but I would prefer the PC version. Alas,
JF> I hear licensing prevented the original music from making it to that
JF> version, but the game itself is improved somewhat, especially in the
JF> graphics department. Picture the PSX version of the game, only in
JF> 640x480 with texture smoothing on. Now THAT'S intense.
Nah, if I want a version without all the great music I'd get the Saturn
version, it's real cheap s/h now. And I wouldn't need to buy a Saturn as I
already have one.
