-> STEP 1. Invest your $5 by writing your name and address on five
-> separate pieces of paper along with the words, "PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR
-> MAILING LIST." (In this way, you're not just sending a dollar to
-> someone; you're paying for a legitimate service.) Fold a $1 bill,
-> money order, or bank note inside each paper, and mail then by
-> standard U.S. Mail to the following five addresses:
-> 1. Bill Brown, 148 South Downlen, #796 Beaumont, Tx. 77707
-> 2. Marco Monet, 409 N.E., 107 St., Miami, Florida, USA 33161
-> 3. BW, 11 West Seneca Circle, Geneseo, NY 14454
-> 4. Jason Segal, 5961 Glenhaven cres., Norfolk, VA 23508
-> 5. Abu Hasnat, C/o Aminullah, CSC Eng., POB 4545, Dubai, United Arab
-> Emirates
It seems to me the smart thing to do would be (IF YOU WERE GOING TO DO
THIS) to just post the names to 200 conferences. Why even bother to pay
the $5? You might as well just post the names. It is just as legal.
-> STEP 4. You are now in business for yourself, and should start seeing
-> returns within 7 to 14 days! Remember, the Internet is new and huge.
-> There is NO WAY you can lose.
NO WAY to lose...hmm...
so since you request to be added to a "mailing list" then it is
legal. Now then, if you receive $50,000+ for adding people to your
"mailing list" that is a lot of money. And it isn't a gift, it is a
business venture. So that means paying business income taxes on it. I
wonder how you are going to report it to the IRS? They can probably see
your name on those 200+ newsgroups. So maybe if you don't say anything
then they'll get suspicious and investigate...
-> Now here is how and why this system works: Out of every block of 200
-> posts I made, I got back 5 responses. Yes, that's right, only 5. You
-> make $5.00 in cash, not checks or money orders, but real cash with
-> your name at #5. Each additional person who sent you $1.00 now also
-> makes 200 additional postings with your name at #4, 1000 postings! On
-> average then, 50 people will send you $1.00 with your name at
-> #4,....$50.00 in your pocket! Now those 50 new people will make 200
-> postings each with your name at #3 or 10,000 postings. Average
-> return, 500 people= $500. They make 200 postings each with your name
-> at #2= $100,000.
-> Postings=5,000 returns at $1.00 each=$5,000.00 in CASH!! Finally,
-> 5,000 people make 200 postings each with your name at #1 and you get
-> a return of $50,000 before your name drops off the list. And that's
-> only if everyone down the line makes only 200 postings! As you can
-> see, the
Your math seems to be off. If every 200 posts brings 5 responses, then
1000 posts will average 25 people responding. Not 50. Then they make
5000 posts, not 10000. These 5000 posts only bring $125.
(5000/200)*$5=$125. These people will make 25000 postings with your
name at #2. So that nets you $625. And those 625 people post the list
200 times each, or 125000 times. If every 200 posts produce 5
responses, (125000/200)*$5=$3125. Then you get $15625 from the people
who take your name off the list. So when your name is off the list, you
have made 5+125+625+3125+15625 = $19505. So as far as I can tell, you
would only get $25000 max.
But you still have to pay that income tax.

Sorry, I know this is the Music Composition conference, but I don't
want anyone to try this pyramid scheme.
How important is listening to other music to writing your own? Is there
a lot to be gained by hearing others' work?
