JF> You seem to forget just what the Katana's specs are.
What are the Katana specs? I read some rumored ones a long time ago,
but I forgot what they were. I don't pay attention to Sega.
DM> Why didn't devolopers have time to make the most of it? They realised
DM> it was a sinking ship from the start.
JF> Got any proof for that? Most likely, no. And if what
JF> you say is true, then how do you explain Alien vs.
JF> Predator, Tempest 2000 and a few others?
Yes I do. THere not many games for the Jag. No one liked it. No one
cared.
Another turn off was the joypad with 38566 buttons.
DM> What? There was like a total of
DM> 15 titles on it? When no one buys your system, and developers don't
DM> devolope stuff for it, where does ad money come from? Maybe it didn't
DM> suck, but it was a preety damn good case of wrong place and the wrong
DM> time.
JF> That much is probably true.
Of course. I can be right sometimes.
JF> If they'd come out with the Jag 6-12 months earlier,
JF>it might have seemed rosier.
Maybe because it was realeased in the middle of the year. Most systems
are realeased in the august to october range.
JF> I guess it's the same as it is with Microsoft and the PC
JF> industry right now. It would take a team of geniuses to
JF> dislodge Microsoft's dominance in the OS market, and so far
JF> few are visible.
JF> The Neo Geo? Basically "The Arcade: Home Edition."
JF> That's all too true, I think! It was basically the same
JF> hardware you'd find for Samurai Showdown & Co. at the
JF> arcade back then. That was both a plus and a minus; while
JF> it was certainly powerful, it was also really expensive!
Well devolpers can't release anything for other OS's because it
would be too much of a risk. It's WIN95 or NT, or nothing.
Did anyone buy the neo-geo? I never saw an ad for one.
