Hello Lawrence!

Replying to a message of Lawrence Garvin to Don Waybright:

LG> Well, this would be a good place, I would think. I have a bit over 5
LG> years of practical TCP/IP experience in LAN/WAN/Internet
 LG> environments.

LG> Probably the number one topic of this area in the year or so that it's
LG> existed has been how to/when to use subnets and how are they
 LG> configured.

LG> We had a discussion a while back about whether HTTP was TCP or UDP
LG> based and I learned a bit from that thread. :-)

All greek to me at this point. I found a Dummy for TCP/IP book at work.
Thought I would start there during my x-mas break from school.

LG> I'm working on a project to make the archives of this echo available
LG> via FReq and FTP (by month) -- they should be available shortly after
LG> the first of the year.

Sounds like it could be some good reading. Look forward to seeing it.

Rgds,
Don
