Ah... Sorry to hear.

I have never regained feeling in my surgical site, except for the neuroma
that fires errantly. It's not a smouldering pain, but like a darning needle
is tugged on, inside my muscle fiber. Rather innocuous, but complicated in
the side effects. Mentally, was the first affect I could no longer deny. I
was busting bones, and slicing myself open due to stupidity, not to mention
reading an article or technical document multiple times as if it was all
new information. I think, because I couldn't differentiate between three
pain sites, that my physician of the time thought I was full of Munchausen.

Once I was sent to the pain clinic, that same physician was personally
insulted, and I was sent home on hydromorphone.
