I'll have to dig through my files section for the text file to get the exact 
report name and date, but it was a U.S.  Dept. of Justice report which stated 
that an estimated 68 million households in the U.S. had a firearm of some 
type.

Perhaps this points to the source of the problem....ever hear "guns kill" or 
"a child is killed by a handgun every xxx seconds"?  The emphasis seems to be 
on villifying the tool, not on education on proper and safe use of the tool.
