Hello michael!

29 Apr 03 05:04, you wrote to me:

mk> But, do you know that New York first named New Amsterdam?

Actually no, but it more logical, to call it New Amsterdam, because
Amsterdam is more known than York.

BTW New Amsterdam doesn't fit as a city name, maybe it was the reason for
changing it.

 mk>>> Frankfort/US (14x) Frankfurt/Germany
 BS>> 14x?

 mk> Jepp.

But what did it mean?

 mk>>> Potsdam/US Potsdam/Germany
 mk>>> Berlin/US (20x) Berlin/Germany

BS>> BTW are those cities near eachother?

mk> No, all over the States.

Ok.

 mk>>> Bremen/US (8x) Bremen/Germany
 mk>>> New Bremen/US (3x) Bremen/Germany
 mk>>> West Bremen/US Bremen/Germany

 BS>> Wierd, there isn't a Bremenhafen ;)

mk> Bremerhaven. I tried to find out, but there is no such city in North
 mk> America. :)

Ok, because it's about so big as bremen, afair.

 mk>>> Gera/US Gera/Germany

BS>> Where is Gera located in germany?

mk> It's in the former GDR (the sovjet occupied part of Germany). The
mk> state is calling "Thueringen", located above Bavarian.

Ah, i know Thûringer, one of the smallest states so afair as i remember,
except for Reinland-Plaz

BS>> Did you found that list on the internet or ?

mk> No, I use a computer aided atlas.

Ok, btw thank you for all the information. :)

Regards, Bo
