Yes, there's a Netscape for OS/2, but it's an old (quite) version. But
given the new anti-Microsoft cooperation between IBM and Netscape, rumor has
it that Netscape will release the browser portion of Communicator in a
native OS/2 release.

Well, given that Netscape was developed from Mosaic, and that Mosaic was
originally written for Unix -- along with the fact that Netscape was first
available for Unix machines -- yes, it's quite true.
However, given the server and/or non-commercial nature of most Linux
systems, Netscape now gives its Linux version a low-priority/no-support
status as it concentrates on raping, err, I mean raking, as much money as
possible off from its Windows versions.
