It's the same sorta scenario as what nintendo are doing with the n64 the gb & 
Pokemon (Pocket Monsters)..  You play the game on your home console, upload 
the data to either the gb cart if you have an N64 or PDA if you have a PS, 
the play at work, in school on the train, wherever..  Then when you get home 
upload the data back to your main console..  Anything thats been completed or 
beaten on the move will the be synchronise in memory..
The screen is also s'pposed to be a 32x32 dot pitch monochrome LCD..  Almost 
double the size of a Tamagotchi..
It plugs into the memory card slot..
