Yow! I'm in Michigan (but I am moy a Yooper). 
Thus you must have colder weather than we do here or I had in Anchorage.
The Anchorage weather is moderated by the ocean (but last year they had a
record 3.4 meters (132 inches)of snow. That was about the height of a
second story on many buildings.
