I dislike games with a plot.. I like RPG's, Strategy & Beat-em-up's mostly,
but I don't need to know why character "X" is doing what he is.. I mean,
does it matter why ken is fighting in street fighter.. No, You just wanna
play the game, complete it, then get onto the next one.. I've played
thousands of games over the last 16 years & none have kept my Inerest like
the street fighter series.. But I don't kneed to know anything about the
characters to aprecciate it..
Regarding your point on RE.. There was something like it.. Alone in The
Dark.. I love most of capcom's games.. But that game was just a blatant
rip-off..
