There is only one reason for resistance to requiring a voter to present ID to prove they have the right to vote in elections; votes. Does anyone think illegal aliens don't vote in our elections? Does anyone think that those who have lost their right to vote don't vote in our elections? When a whole box full of votes are `suddenly discovered' in a back room, or a closet, or in somebody's trunk...do you `really' think nothing is wrong? There's been the `graveyard' vote since I can remember! People who've been dead for several years cast the `deciding votes' in a local or state election. A voter ID should be tied to a person's birth certificate or citizenship papers. No valid ID...you don't get to vote! There is no honest reason for the continued resistance to voter ID. --- SBBSecho 2.27-Win32* Origin: Telnet://valhalla.synchro.net - Richmond, Virginia (1:275/93) SEEN-BY: 120/544 123/500 138/146 140/1 14 153/7715 154/10 203/0 2 221/0 1 6 SEEN-BY: 221/360 227/51 230/0 240/5832 249/303 261/38 266/404 512 275/0 89 90 SEEN-BY: 275/91 93 100 156 280/464 5003 288/34 320/119 342/17 77 423/81 120 SEEN-BY: 633/0 267 280 281 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 5020/1042 @PATH: 275/93 100 140/1 221/0 1 203/0 280/464 712/848 633/280 267 |
