*** Quoting Bo Simonsen from a message to Carol Shenkenberger ***
BS> Well not mutch, the summer this year has been horrible. I guess it has
BS> been so all over Northern Europe.
Robert Bashe has been mentioning Germany has been colder than normal this ¨summer.
BS> How about Japan? I bet it may be hot over there?
OH YES. Then again, while not all that onbious on a globe, Japan is a long
¨thin chain, about 1,000miles. Part of it's so North they argue with the
¨Russians about some of the islands, and part is so south you can
practically ¨steam rice without a cooker. I'm not the most southerly part,
but I'm not far ¨off. Sasebo is a smallplace so might be hard for you to
find unless you ¨search on the internet. It's on Kyushu.
Summer here is 35C-43C on average. Temps on the web come from another city
¨(Nagasaki) which is more buffered than Sasebo so a bit cooler. Here, we
define ¨how hot it is by how many bottles of water you buy as you are out
walking ¨around. Right now, we are at the 30 min level per bottle heat.
BS> BTW Do you have an explaination why telegard is using SoftCR? It's the
BS> only software I've seen doing this (I bet frodo do that same). What
BS> charecter is softcr anyhow I couldn't look it up in the ASCII table. :
I forget which character it is too on the charts but it's not something I
can ¨adapt here.
