That is exactly what has happened.  We have had ample cold weather this winter.
 In fact, probably near or exceeding a record for most single digit nights in
the season.

We were not getting much in the way of snow until the past month.  Late
February and March has brought much more snow than we have had all winter.  We
have had several 9" storms - one of them being a few days ago.  

We have near a foot of snow on the ground and it continues to be very cold. The
past few nights were in the single digits again.  We have been near 30 degrees
below normal for awhile now.
