MAJORNET RULES
      Things that are NOT ALLOWED on the Majornet:
 1. INFLMAMMITORY OR HARRASSING PUBLIC MESSAGES AND/OR PERSONAL ATTACKS
    FLAMES TO AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP. 
2. NEWSGROUP ABUSE
   Volumes of messages to one person in a newsgroup, that could be taken to
   e-mail. Let's face it, this drives the cost unnecessarily for all sysops.
   COMMENT: Message to one person that would be of NO interest to anyone else
   in the newsgroup. 
3. HARRASMENT VIA PRIVATE MAJORNET MESSAGES.
4. PROFANITY in AREAS where profanity is NOT explicitly allowed.
  COMMENT: CHATTER IS NOT ONE OF THOSE AREAS.
5. MESSAGES PROMOTING PONZI SCHEMES/"get rich quick" PYRAMID messages.
6. ANY and ALL ILLEGAL ACTIVITY and PROMOTION OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES, as 
  defined by the laws of your specific state. province and the federal 
  governments, such as "growing marijuana for sale".
7.  MESSAGE QUOTING. WHEN QUOTING A MESSAGE, PLEASE ONLY QUOTE WHAT IS NEEDED!
   DO NOT QUOTE THE ENTIRE MESSAGE YOU ARE RESPONDING TO. A PROPER QUOTE IS 
   USUALLY ONLY 3-4 LINES LONG JUST ENOUGH TO LET PEOPLE KNOW  WHAT PART/S OF  
   THE MESSAGE YOU ARE RESPONDING TO.
 COMMON SENSE AND GOOD TASTE RULES - Thousands of people will judge YOU by what
   you POST.  Remember this BEFORE you write a single message.
 TOPIC SENSITIVITY -  Please post messages which have some relationship to the
  PURPOSE of the newsgroup.
  COMMENT: CHATTER is excluded from this one.  Chatter doesn't have a specific
  topic. 
 COMPLAINTS - Send ANY and ALL complaints about someone to YOUR Sysop, System
  Operator, IF there is no HELPER present. Do NOT clutter a newsgroup with 
  complaints about someone.
  
 RULE INFRACTIONS - If found guilty by a local Sysop, punishment is set by the 
  local Sysop based on the severity of the offense and could range from the
  requirement of a public apology, to permanent removal of the user's access
  from the Majornet.
 PLEASE NOTE - The Majornet COUNCIL can at their discretion remove any system
  from the network for breaking any of the above rules.  Of course this would
  only happen if the Sysop was unable to resolve the conflict.
