That bug is fixed now. Please download a new snapshot from
ftp://ftp.openxp.de/openxp/snapshot/ (version 3.8.13)

Definitely not, OpenXP does neither set nor use Registry entries  
(otherwise it wouldn't run under plain DOS anymore nor under Linux).
