-> MD> I liked mario because it offered diffirent things to do, besides

-> Like what? I dunno, I playaed Mario 64, from the beggining to the en
-> there's nothing else to do BUT bash the guys! Just on them, make lon

-> Sorry, but I REALLY don't see what

-> can do if you want to have the stars, and not die.
No offense, but crash doesn't have wide arrays of moves either. If you
look at it, he jumps, spins, and rides stuff. Then again, crash didn't
need a million moves to be good, and neither did mario.
oh yeah, and in crash 2 he belly flops.
-> The bosses? Please, they all used the same type of way of being
-> "killed"...
-> There's the first one, that bomb king, you need to go to his back,
-> pick him up,
-> thrown him, same thing with bowser, you need to get to his back,
-> pick him up, and throw him. Then there's those other bombs where you
-> just need to BASH in order for them to fall in Lava..
You got the bomb right, but missed out on quite a bit. The whomp guy
you had to stomp on his back when he tried to crush you, bowser you had
to throw into bombs, twice, with two diffirent sets of attack patterns.
The bully you had to knock into lava. There was quite a few more.
same boss killing? i really don't think so.

There's quite a bit. There was saving lil' penguins, finding the
snowman's head, figuring out the sequence in the chests on the
underwater levels, red coins, tons of secrets, the caps, as you
mentioned, finding points on the map, etc. etc...
-> Oh and don't forget the story, Marios story has been repeated since
-> 1980 or something... well, it's the exact same story all over the
-> place. From mario 1,
-> to 64. As for Crash, the story is much more different, he needs to
-> save the planet, the story also has a plot twist.. who do I trust?
-> Dr. N brio or that other one... And the Crystals are harder to find
-> (not the purple ones) then any
-> star in Mario 64.
Mario never needed a story. Neither did doom, and look how popular
that was. Same with quake. You must admit, CB2's story wouldn't
exactly sell as best novel of the year. Sure, there was the crystals,
but how many times have we seen the evil genius trying to take over the
world? Sonic series and about a million more games, anyone?
-> I think I have proven my point a bit, no?
I think you've only proved you've watched someone play random points of
mario 64, and based your conclusion on that.
-> 1- You said Mario has less bashing.. I gave you tons of examples.
I didn't say that. I said it had more focus on puzzle solving/item
collecting. It has just as much bashing. But it also has much more,
as i explained.
-> 2- You said Mario is more original.. Not really.. again, I told you
-> why.
And i stand by my point. Crash boils down to another 3d platform/side
scrolling game, with a storyline used a billion times. A good game,
but I still like mario better. I would seriously consider actually
playing the game, instead of watching parts of it played by someone
else, and formulate decent opinions from that. As for crash, he's a
good game guy. But i simply like mario better.
