KZ>WU>You guys are talking about the best of the best? With a little work, a
KZ>WU>B18C1 engine (94-95 Integra GS-R) fitted into a 92-95 Honda Civic will
KZ>WU>SMOKE almost any production car...including LT-1 Vettes, Mustang Cobras,
KZ>WU>Turbo Supras, Turbo Z cars..., C2 Porches...you get the picture.
KZ>WU>Imagine it...the car gets 30+ MPG, idles SMOOTH as silk, and it is
KZ>WU>extremely driveable. All it takes is about 5 hours of work and some
KZ>WU>wiring knowledge, and it's all done. I do this all the time. I know
KZ>WU>what I'm talking about. It'll do 0-60MPH in 4 second land...the quarter
KZ>WU>mile in high 13/low 14 land (traction is the problem)
KZ>WU>Anyone searching for the perfect "sleeper"? Put the GS-R engine in a
KZ>WU>civic...don't lower the car or do anything to it... Let me introduce
KZ>WU>you to another world... welcome to Belaray.
KZ>WU>---
KZ>That sounds dandy, but I don't see how if it's only running low
KZ>14's/high 13's, it's going to SMOKE an LT-1 Vette, Mustang Cobra, Supra
KZ>Turbo, etc. At the most, it might be a close race with certain cars
KZ>depending on the drivers and if the opposing car is bone stock. But the
KZ>Vette is faster than high 13's stock, and I'm pretty sure the Supra
KZ>Turbo is also. And as for the Mustang Cobra, it would depend on the
KZ>year...but all it takes is a couple easy/cheap mods to bring it into the
KZ>low 13's. (ie. shorty belt, advance the timing). Tell me, about how
KZ>much money does it cost to get one of those engines you're talking about
KZ>and transplant it into a Civic? I bet it would be a fun little car and
KZ>I'm not denying that it would be quick...I'm just questioning your use
KZ>of the word "SMOKE".

You must be some guy who actually believes what magazines say in their
writeups. They ALWAYS claim a faster time than what the car can always
do. I've SEEN these cars. I'm basing my statements from facts that
have actually happened.
When I say "Smoke", I mean that the Civic will be ahead of those above
mentioned cars by about 6 or more car-lengths in a quarter-mile. It
will cost $4200.00 to perform the transplant, and it takes 6 hours to
complete.
