IN>WU>SA>GA>DO>The NSX is merely the most acclaimed..
IN>WU>SA>GA>Yes it is, and has been for the whole decade. And why do you think
IN>WU>SA>GA>so acclaimed? Because it's turn signal flasher emits a more satisf
IN>WU>SA>GA>sounding click than the Corvette's? WU>SA>GA>like everyone else here too!> At least part of you would seriously
IN>WU>SA>GA>answer "yes", so in advance, I'll say "guess again". It's because
IN>WU>SA>GA>the best of the best, regardless of numbers. If you think national
IN>WU>SA>GA>has anything to do with it, then another example would be the 300ZX
IN>WU>SA>GA>Turbo, which also had the slowest numbers and was the oldest design
IN>WU>SA>GA>stayed king of Japanese sports cars, after VR-4, after RX-7, after
IN>WU>SA>GA>Turbo. Nothing could touch it, much less the C4.
IN>WU>SA>GA>The 97 Corvette is just as acclaimed as the NSX anyway. But a big
IN>WU>SA>GA>of that hype comes from sympathy, because the old one was so much w
IN>WU>SA>GA>Granted, it's a good, true sports car now, but everyone's been prai
IN>WU>SA>GA>it for how much it has improved, even though all it's done is caugh
IN>WU>SA>GA>The hype is starting to fade already. I'm sure you got the latest
IN>WU>SA>GA>of C&D. Read that whole 1/4th of a page on how they talk about how
IN>WU>SA>GA>its handling sucks.

IN>WU>SA>"Ther best of the best" should read "My o[[inion, drawn soley from
IN>WU>SA>magazines, is that it is the best."
IN>WU>SA>I'm sorry, in my books, the Dodge Viper with better numbers all around
IN>WU>SA>is the best of the best. *I* happen toi think it looks better than th

IN>WU>SA>Nonsense.

IN>WU>You guys are talking about the best of the best? With a little work, a
IN>WU>B18C1 engine (94-95 Integra GS-R) fitted into a 92-95 Honda Civic will
IN>WU>SMOKE almost any production car...including LT-1 Vettes, Mustang Cobras,
IN>WU>Turbo Supras, Turbo Z cars..., C2 Porches...you get the picture.
IN>WU>Imagine it...the car gets 30+ MPG, idles SMOOTH as silk, and it is
IN>WU>extremely driveable. All it takes is about 5 hours of work and some
IN>WU>wiring knowledge, and it's all done. I do this all the time. I know
IN>WU>what I'm talking about. It'll do 0-60MPH in 4 second land...the quarter
IN>WU>mile in high 13/low 14 land (traction is the problem)
IN>WU>Anyone searching for the perfect "sleeper"? Put the GS-R engine in a
IN>WU>civic...don't lower the car or do anything to it... Let me introduce
IN>WU>you to another world... welcome to Belaray.

IN>Put a 350 in a Datsun 510. It'll smoke the civic. tss. I've seen a guy
IN>who put an Integra engine in a Civic and it's not THAT fast, and he
IN>still had to take everything out of the car, and put in plastic seats,
IN>etc. If it does 0-60 in 4 seconds it has to run a quarter in the 12's.
IN>Let's compare the cost of buying an integra engine and putting it in a
IN>civic to the cost of buying a mustang and adding a supercharger. grin.

We have one...we ran a best 12.6 ET at 106MPH...no NOS, no Turbo. We're
in every single magazine that covered the last "Battle of the Imports"
and we took the title of "Fastest Normally Aspirated".
If you add a supercharger to a Mustang, I can GUARANTEE that the motor
will not last one single year at six pounds of boost driving it everyd
ay. An Integra engine inside a Civic will last 100,000+ miles and run
on and on and on. You can't top that... The cost per mile of driving
an Integra powered Civic is far LESS than that of a Supercharged
Mustang. Let's see that Mustang get anywhere close to 25MPG.
