Find a dealer interested in the $3200 item for $2000. Get advance from
dealer. Purchase collection and turn single item over to dealer. Keep $1400
and balance of collection.
Not necessarily a great way to build your -own- collection, but depending
of the balance of the items, and looking at the profit of $1400.....
But then, if the book was a special deal from a friend, all bets are off.
Even I, cheapskate that I am, wouldn't do that to a friend. After all, they
could take it to the dealer and keep the WHOLE $2000 themselves.
