As am I; I wasn't just talking about the audiophile market, but about the
classical records in general. If you have the knowledge of what to buy (and
what not), and how deep to carry your stock, and are scrupulous about
condition, you can, under normal circumstances, sell through almost 70% of
your classical stock. I did, and had a following for the classical titles
that outdid EVERY other record store in the area, including the new ones.
Classical buyers tend to buy 5+ records at a time, and it wasn't unusual for
someone to drop over $50 at one shot on ordinary, non-audiophile titles going
for $3@.
