In FIDO.XPOINT on 25.10.03 (received 25.10.03)
Martin Foster uttered
on the subject "new beta Version OpenXP (3.8.13)":
MF>>> I've just d/loaded and installed the 3.8.14-19 (DOS32) snapshot
MF>>> and I can confirm that there are no "ticks" or
"?" here either,

MF>>> my path, OpenXP doesn't see them.
AS>> Same in a clean DOS environment - not being found at all.

a) giving the full path in the archivers config and not just the
archivers name should help
b) Markus has found and removed a bug with finding and evaluating the
PATH variable under DOS.
AS>> Also getting that non-existent B: drive being indicated ?!!?
MF> Also confirmed under MS-DOS.
That seems to be tricky to remove under plain DOS. As far as I
understand, there is no easy way under DOS to find out whether B: exists
or not.
Other points:
Language switching should work now; at least it does on Markus' PC under
MS-DOS.
Garbage on the screen under DR-DOS: this might be due to a wrong
codepage (DR-DOS has a different default than MS-DOS). But as far as
Markus explained, changing codepages alone does not suffice; it is
necessary toload the correspondent font as well.
I hope Markus will upload a new DOS snapshot soon.

Christian
