The Jazz Bass is a longer scale, with a MUCH narrower neck. Being a longer
scale, it has some tonal advantages at the low end, as well as having less
string buzz (since the strings are under greater tension, being longer).
I've always preferred the Jazz. What don't you like about it?

Subj: SCO Upgrade

Got my OpenServer5 CD today. Read the instructions pretty carefully. Has
anyone else installed yet? Biggest question is proper install proceedure.
I have 3.2v4.2 w/TCP-IP under a 32 user license. According to docs I must
first upgrade to Unix 4.2 Host System, and then upgrade to OpenEnterprise5.
Should I do the additional user upgrade both times, or only at OE5 level?
Also according to mktg info I read last month the OE5 was supposed to be
the first Unix 5 product on the market. So why do we have to install SVR 4.2
to get to SVR 5.0?
Also not clear was root partition. Must its upper boundary alway be below
cylnder 1023? I wish it was a little more descriptive describing setup with
larger HD's. I've installed 3.2v4.2 on 1 gig drives in a single partition w/o
problems. I would expect that the Intel UnixOS for the rest of the 20th
century
would handle big drives without any hitch.
