I refered to the Harding as mint only to specify it was not used.
I don't think It is worth the $15,000 in the catalogue, However it's
perf's measure right to be the #613. I have had it to a shop to have
it appraised, But he told me that he would have to take it in the back to
check for watermarks. I told him in no uncertain terms that he was a
dishonest man, because I knew there was no matter of a watermark on this
stamp. Another man told me he would give me $3,000
But I don't know if this is a fair price or not. If you or anyone else knew
of a very honest person that I could talk to about this and the rest of the
collection, I would appreciate hearing of them. My collection is Very
extensive, however, my knowledge of it is limited, It was my inheritance from
my grandfather who collected since 1918. I don't wan't to sell the whole
thing, but I don't have any other way to pay the doctors. I appreciate your
reply, sorry if
I am cluttering this Fidonet.
