subject: PM14400FXSA Modem

 I have a Practical Peripherals PM14400FXSA V.32BIS MODEM.
I do not have the power supply for it.
I was told that it is supposed to be 9 VAC (800 - 1000 ma).
 I tried a 9.2 VAC 700 ma power supply.
When I turn on the modem, it passes the self test,
but does not respond the the normal AT commands.

I rather doubt that the problem is the power supply.
I suspect that the modem is broken.

Does anyone have the docs for this modem?
 If so, please help me.

 Thanks.
