Don't get me started on that. But, it seems to
be difficult to do anything about interconnecting a cell
phone with other devices. A few hams I know who have quite
liberal cell phone calling plans have wanted to offer phone
patch services for the folks at sea, missionaries, both
medical and otherwise, etc. on ham radio as has been a
traditional part of our service offerings to those folks,
but using their cell instead of their landline based
connections.
Queries I"ve seen re connecting a phone patch to a cell have come up
pretty dry as well.
Even acoustic coupling is sort of problematic with these
things.
