I know but there are limits to all the toys that one can have on the phone
line so until a dedicated line is installed, using some grey matter is the
next best thing.
I did, I asked, was told to use the S10 setting.
I have, and proved it works by signing on, making the connection, and walked
away, picked up a receiver on a phone on the same line,
listened to the modem scream
and hung up.
walked back to my desk and found I am still solidly connected.
everytime before this caused my 28,800 to drop right away.
I am happy, I didnt rewire everything, didn't use the fax adapters,
installed nothing, except a few extra keystrokes.
