If you had read my previous message about my new 56K Amjet modem that was
having a problem with the data stream freezing every 2 min. when I connected
at 46K, or faster, then you may have read the replys saying that it might be
line noise.
Well. I have had many people saying the same, but I just got back the
test
results from the people who sold it to me. Their tech. says it is the same
thing I said it was, defective Uart chip. Yes people, if your 56K is
experinceing the same problem, it may not be what everyone seems to blame it
on, line noise. At least if you can always get a full 33.6 connect to other
non-56K connections. It is something to consider.
That was pretty cool. I thought they would have told me it worked fine,
and if I wanted to exchange it for a new one anyway, I'd have to pay the 20%
restocking fee, or just take that one back. Thanks all for your opions on it.
... 90% of the time I'm right, so why worry about the 3%?
