subject: 56K data stream problem

-> Does ne1 have a 56K Flex modem, and use Deltech as their ISP? I just
-> bought an Amjet 56K Flex internal modem yesterday. I installed, it wi
-> lastest Win95 drivers, and checked J-Mark's web page to make sure I h
-> lastest BIOS, which I do. The modem is a PnP/Non-PnP hybrid. I set th
-> port, & IRQ using jumpers, and not the Plug n Pray feature. This
-> modem is not a Winmodem, and will support 386/486/Pentium class
-> computers, so it works in Real DOS as well.
-> My problem is that even though I connect at 46K everytime, about 2,
-> or 3 min. into each session the data streams stops. It's like if the
-> network becomes lagged for about 15 to 20 sec., then it starts
-> working fine again. It does this about every 2 to 3 min. for about
-> 15 to 20 sec. all the time.
I have the exact same problem with my x2 sportster modem (which also
connects at 46k to my isp concentric). Doesn't happen on the 33.6 lines
just like in your case. I'm pretty sure that pac bell is at fault, but
no matter how much I call them, they won't do anything.
