Well, I'd say it's DEFINATELY your ISP or your phone lines. That should NOT 
happen with a 56k modem. Did this happen with your previous modem?  If so, 
and it happens with local bulletin boards as well, then the problem is likely 
your phone lines. If it ONLY happens with your internet provider, I'd say 
it's time to complain to Tech Support and/or change internet providers. Based 
on what you're saying about it NOT happening on the 33.6 line, I'd say it's 
DEFINATELY a problem with your ISP's 56k support.
