DD> JR> "Daylight Saving Time"
DD> JR> "Don't look Back" ......GRANDPA JONES (Decca label) 30655
DD>can't even date it for you. Just a "gut feeling" off the top of my
DD>head, I'd say, in VG condition, maybe $5-10.
It is hard to say since on one hand, Grandpa Jones stuff is very
hard to find in Toronto. On the other hand, one may find a ton
        of it down in Nashville.
DD> JR> "At the Hop"
DD> JR> "Sometimes" ............DANNY & THE JUNIORS (Sparton) 516R
DD>to $ 15.00 a copy. Since 1957 was the last year 78's were produced in
DD>the US, I wonder if what you have may be a British import. It's not
DD>an original, but may have some residual value as a curiosity. I would
DD>NOT expect to see anything like the "Singular" prices, but if it's in
DD>VG shape, it COULD be more than the common ABC release.
Looking at the label shows SPARTON to be a Canadian record
company based in London, Ontario. It reads with the permission of
ABC Paramount. But I figured that a song classic like this would
be more valuable than a 7".
DD> JR> "She Loves to Rock"
DD> JR> "In Self Defense" ..........THE FLAIRS (Sparton) 264R
DD>I'm not finding anything at all on this one, although there was a group
DD>called the "Flairs" who did one release on the budget (99 cent LP)
DD>"Crown" lable in 1963. Crown was part of "Sythetic Plastics Corp." who
DD>had a number of budget lables like this, using studio musicians to put
DD>together groups that "mimiced" popular groups of the time, usually going
DD>nowhere, although one, "Scatman" Crothers had considerable success on
DD>their "Tops" lable. Again, becaus of the time frame, these are sounding
DD>more and more like imports, the British version of the various US "Budget"
DD>lables.
DD>Wish I could be of more help.
Actually that makes a lot of sense. After all, this was a time
that had many wannabees wanting to hit it big by making a hit
record and this could have been one of the many groups that lost
out, especially when you try and copy a song (the exception
being Pat Boone singing "Ain't that a Shame")
