Yes, of course we could. But I think that physics already is a very broad
topic that deserves its own echo.

I moderate the German-spoken echo physik.ger. There's also few traffic
there for some years now. But there are still quite a lot of people
connected to the echo, and every now and then an interesting discussion
lets them leave their hidings. :)
There is also a German-spoken echo similar to science (wissen.ger), that
carries a lot more traffic than the physics echo does. However, I still
think that physics is a too "basic" subject to close down the
conference dedicated to it.
