dmesg did tell me the UPS was still being considered there, (As a
"Joystick" no
less!) and that was what I unplugged to make room for the DVD. I'll have to
check if the CDRW is there again. Come to think about it, the last time I used
it was pre-RH w/Mandrake.

LOL!

The manufacturer's id was adopted by a current DVD manufacturer? Na... Maybe
the previous owned was trying to install the DVD under W98, the moment before
it found its way to the garbage?

Who said I sit once there? I only teared up a few times too! There did come a
time when I had to hit the horizontal, however, and left the building for a
park bench.

One thing I am finding amusing however, I'm not the cleanest shaved unit on the
planet, as it is leg time I'd better spend elsewhere, but I am usually dressed
with an upscale jacket at least. Security is all over me when I'm in a public
place. They likely take me for a person who rolled someone for the jacket, and
I'm just faking the leg?

-> Knowing W98 will not be supported, is not boding MS it well in my future.

 WC> Nor I, screw em.
WC> Knoppix allows for updates on the fly for new software.

The recent Linux installs I have done here allow for online upgrading. I guess
they will sniff out your installed packages, and send the patches? As I don't
have an ISP right now, I haven't checked 'em out.
