Hi,
in the menu declaration you can add a string which will be displayed on
the helpline if your cursor is on it. I copied a section of the TSE-help
screen, the string is the variable message:
menu menu_name()
[ title = constant_string ]
[ width = constant_integer ]
[ x = constant_integer ]
[ y = constant_integer ]
[ history [ = integer ] ]
[ command = function ]
[ CheckBoxes ]
[ NoEscape ]
[ NoKeys ]
option_string [var_text_function : width], function,
flag,message
...
option_string [var_text_function : width], function,
flag,message
