I'm wondering if perhaps Mattel "just-in-time"d themselves a little TOO
tight - and missed the Christmas season. Regular Hot Wheels were rather
scare just before also... and now are busting out all over.
Those goofy retailers!! If they had just waited to put out the Christmas
stuff until AFTER Thanksgiving, like they knew they should have, then all
would have been right with the season and sales would have been dandy. But
in moving up the start of Christmas selling, they done burnt everyone out
long before those final days. Serves them right!!
I stopped at the larger KayBee Toys here in Memphis and found some
WONDERFUL bargains - things I hadn't seen in some time. But I noticed all
their Godzilla stuff is sold out. Harumph!! They are the only retailer in
Memphis (anymore) that carries it. K-Mart and Wal-Mart both stopped, so far
as I can tell.
That will change, come Memorial Day. >
