| subject: | Splitting Wave Files |
Hello Ken. 22 Jan 03 12:35, you wrote to me: RT>> Goldwave I have got, and it works fine at manual splitting of RT>> *.wav files, Cool Edit 2000 is what I used to record the LP's to RT>> my HDD. KH> Are Goldwave and Cool Edit shareware, freeware or commercial? CoolEdit is commercial, they have a downloadable demo, and Goldwave is shareware. CoolEdit is my prefered program for recording LP's or tapes, but is a little slow when it comes to "processing" the sound files, and I prefer using other utilities for other tasks. CD Wave for track splitting, etc, there are a lot of utilities out there, most of them are quite good, you will find a few that fit you better than others. Another that I have just got also commercial, not sure if the have a demo, is Groove Mechanic, which seems to have promise of being good.
