Hi Gaelyne, > I've even used QWKRR with Vice but gads, I missed my > Ramlink! It wasn't quick > by any means, but I did eventually find out when to turn > off full disk emulation > and when to turn it on. Never used QWKRR under VICE, is it one of the programs that has a problem if it's not running on "real" hardware ? I managed to get a copy of my all-time favourite database program (DataManager 128) copied over to D71 format - fortunately it doesn't care about full disk emulation & really flies! (Especially when VICE is in turbo mode!). I have found a few progs that don't like that combination though, but mainly they're 64 programs that rely on bizarre copy protection routines. My CBM interest these days is mainly PET & 128 related, so no great loss. cheers, Lance ---* Origin: Landover Amiga BBS, telnet://commodore.thebbs.org (3:712/313) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 712/313 848 379/1 633/267 |
