If you're getting just a bit under 33.6 w/a 33.6 modem, you probably can't 
get any better. You _definetly_ can't get over 33.6, Shannon's Law (a physics 
theory) says that over an analog connection (such as a phone line), you can't 
go higher than 35.6, or something around that. 33.6 is the highest you can 
expect to go without the technological trickery that 56k uses. So, in short, 
no, you can't go any higher except in some _extreme_ and infrequent 
circumstances. If you want to go faster, the only way is 56k or ISDN.
