MP> Hi Paul. Worked out what the problem was. In the man page, it says \o for
MP> an octal number, where o IS the octal number. So, to send the YooHoo char,
MP> I needed to put \0361.

PE> AARGH!!! How did you figure that out, BTW?

MP> Tricky, but it now sends the YooHoo and the entire
MP> Hello string, then it dies. Can you check your logs and see what's going
MP> on? I think that it might be a incorrect CRC, so if you could, could you

I've checked your script, and everything looks fine.

1. Are you sure you used the right FREQ program, ie FREQ2?

2. We know that \0361 works, but does \361 by itself work, or is that
leading 0 important? Some of your strings don't have a leading 0.

3. I will need to switch debugging on to find out for sure what is coming
through, so we need to arrange a time for you to call.

4. Your \0361 doesn't have a \c on the end. We don't know for sure whether
the \c works, maybe it screws up octal numbers. I suggest you put the \c
after the \0361 so that we have proof that it works.

BFN. Paul.
