Please do not take offense since I am not quite sure what you are
saying, but to mark a number of lines, press whatever key is defined as
markline() at the beginning of the block(line 32)(I am guessing in your
case this is alt-I). Move to the end of the block (line 35) and press
this key again. Now the block is marked, and it doesn't matter where you
move the cursor, the block from 32-35 will remain marked.
You can now move to the location you want to move the lines, and press
your move key. If you want to unmark the block, use Unmark. These
commands also appear on the Block menu.
