NASA & AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION KICKOFF NATIONAL EXHIBIT
NASA and the American Library Association (ALA) kick
off a one-of-a-kind interactive space research exhibit
Tuesday, July 1 at 11 a. m. EDT at the Enoch Pratt Free
Library, Baltimore.
The interactive exhibit features special presentations
specifically created for parents and children. The program
is designed to help inspire students to pursue science and
space-related careers, as the exhibit tours the nation's
public libraries over the next two years.
The NASA/ALA partnership creates "NASA {at} your library," a
unique program designed to introduce and expose the public
to NASA research in health; home and transportation;
agriculture and environment; and commerce. The partnership
is also designed to increase interest in our nation's public
libraries.
Media interested in attending the ceremony should contact
Mona Rock of the Enoch Pratt Free Library at: 410/396-5283.
NASA Television will broadcast the event live. NASA TV is
broadcast on AMC-2, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85
degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz.
Polarization is vertical and audio is monaural at 6.8 MHz.
The event will be web cast on the Internet at:
