PA> The block selection is horribly unintuitive
ST> There are three different block functions: Alt-A blocks a letter or
> word at a time, Alt-L blocks entire lines, and Alt-K blocks columns.
And of course one of the big things about TSE (Jr. or Pro) is
that one can change the key assignments. If one doesn't think the
block assignments are intuitive, one can change them to whatever
seems to be more memorable or consistent. My column-block
marking key is F9, and my line-marking key F7, to match those in
a program I use a lot but can't change the key assignments in.
ST> Mark the beginning of the items you want to sort with Alt-K, move
> to the end of the line with either the End key or Ctrl-Right Arrow.
See, you've changed that, no? Ctrl-Right is WordRight in the
default assignment.
ST> Your friends are correct - Qedit, now called TSE Jr,
> is one of the best text editors available.
And TSE Pro does even more. Of course, it costs it, too.
... You can play with my mind if you let me play with yours.
