they are (Of course, you've also dismissed their W-L records, which are still 
pretty close).

Sorry but it seems to me that the team spends more time trying to score with 
Smoltz on the mound. Clearly they don't share your confidence in him. If 
Glavine and Maddux got the kind of support that he did, their records would 
have been just as good.
