I have a problem with an unwelcome interaction between two
configuration features, trailing whitespace and sticky
autoindent, which are preventing my wordwrap macro from working
properly.
I've configured the copy of the editor (2.0) which I use for
email and Usenet posts not to strip whitespace, for the sole
purpose of preserving the space in the "-- " sig line separator;
there are nerds out there who'll jump on you with both feet for
ignoring this convention. But with my preferred sticky
autoindent set, the blank line between paragraphs ends up with
at least one space on it, which defeats wordwrap. If I don't
remember to delete the line then insert a truly blank one, using
the wrappara command either doesn't work or wraps the whole
file, making a mess of quoted matter at the top of the message.
Is there an elegant way to get round this interaction?
