Can I still buy those anywhere? I dread makeing one up. :\

Well, it appears serial & null modem are very popular among A1200 users.
UBoot is rigged to stdout and 9600 baud for bootup tracing to your other
Amiga.

I left the A1 running all night recently. =:o Yep, it was tripped and died
in Uboot -- 'fsck' failed and couldn't read superblocks. I had this
happen on the day after I got it. I turned my 'miggy off just like I turn
off the A2K. Choke, bad move! Linux is very touchy to sudden power outs.

OK, not a nice way to start the day. I rechecked my options for 'fsck.'
So, I tried from bash bootup shell I think:

(none)# fsck -r /dev/hda2

Yeek I had about a hundred 'inodes' disarranged. Gave everything 'YES'
and wondered if this will work. Anyway, it did boot up :) Amazing!

Got any good ideas for linux backups? I read the Debian stuff on tar and
gzip files, but it's kind of vague about devices. Any info would be
helpful.
