ST> And I guess that I do have to agree with you there; about most
ST> games not having well-developed plots or storylines. :)
ST> I mainly play RPG's and adventure games. I'm not into fighters,
ST> racers, shooters, or any game for that matter that requires just mainly
ST> frantic button-mashing.
But, if one of those games is well designed, you don't need to button mash.
Take the Virtua Fighter series, for instance; sure, the pace isn't all that
blinding, but you can quickly learn to fight intelligently. Racers? Well, a
lot of it depends on finding the proper racing line and learning when to
shift up and down (if you're using standard transmission).
ST> I like games with a good plot so that I know what's going on and
ST> why I'm doing it. Good plot, good character-development, and excellent
ST> storylines is what I look for in games.
ST> The only mindless games I like on occassion is the occassional
ST> puzzle game like Baku Baku, Bust-A-Move, and Puzzle Fighter.
I don't think you necessarily need a GOOD story to have a good game;
witness the Quake series of games. It just needs to be constant and
involving.
